Words alone can’t describe the care and attention given. Dr Markos was really patient and explained everything in details, no questions was too much and he came to see me day and night after the procedure to make sure i was ok and everything was going well. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon than him, he is an absolute best.

I had a gastric sleeve performed by Mr Markos Daskalakis, at the Spire Parkway Hospital in December 2022, from the very first telephone appointment he put me at ease and answered all of my questions. On the day of the surgery I was nervous, anxious and in a bit of a state but he spent the time I needed with me and did not leave until I was happy and at ease. I had 0 complications after the surgery, didn't need any pain killers the day after surgery and didn't suffer any sickness at all and still haven't. He also allowed me to see the pictures of the surgery, he also checked on me the whole time I was in hospital. I cannot thank Mr Markos Daskalakis enough, I am 3 months post-op and have list 3 stone 3lbs so far.

So kind, thorough and helpful. Made me feel so comfortable and ensured I understood everything.

I had VGS surgery with Dr Daskalaskis at Spire Parkway hospital in August 2021. In the following 10 months I have gone on to lose 11 stone, have zero complications and have a new lease on life. Until 2 months ago, my husband and I, lived in Crete, Greece and are now living back in the UK permanently. Following 12 months of stomach problems, in June this year, I was recommended to Dr Daskalakis. At our first and subsequent meeting at his surgery in Chania Crete, Dr Daskalakis explained everything, in a detailed, professional and friendly manner, which gave my husband and I every confidence, in what was an anxious time. Following tests and scans, Dr Daskalakis performed Laparoscopic surgery on me, in July at the Iasis Hospital,  Chania. Pre and post op, he was always available and talked us through any concerns. The operation was a complete success and I'm happy to say my stomach is the best it has been for a number of years. My first visit for Dr. Marcos was pleasant and made feel at ease, I felt I can trust him due to his caring nature. After my examination he explained my condition in very informative details, toward the end of my visit, I knew that I will have him due the operation without any hesitation. Mr Daskalakis preformed a gastric sleeve operation on myself a couple of weeks ago now. I can genuinely not recommend this surgeon enough. He was so informative, knowledgeable and kind in his manner when dealing with me as a patient. Sadly due to covid our consultation was over the phone, so I only actually met him on the day of surgery. But, from that phone call, to the day I left the hospital (which I must add, also looked after me wonderfully) he was very informative and treated me individually to the others that were there going through the same procedure. Markos is clearly very passionate about what the impact gastric sleeve operation can have on our future, after years of struggle with obesity. His team at Burcote Hall hospital were also wonderful! From the welcome when I arrived at reception, to the lovely doctors taking bloods, to the nurses care before and after surgery, to the team in the operation theatre and the housekeeping cleaning crew were amazingly supportive after surgery! They have a really nice team and set up at Burcote Hall. Really can’t thank Markos enough for giving me the tool to help me improve my health and future.

After considering bariatric surgery over the years, and researching surgeons thoroughly, I decided that Mr Markos Daskalakis was preferred surgeon. Mr Daskalakis performed my gastric bypass, he was very considerate and explained the procedure fully. I felt very reassured knowing he was my surgeon. I would thoroughly recommend him and have already done so.

I had weight loss surgery with Mr Daskalakis, he was very informative during my consultation call and answered any question I had. When it came to my surgery he was very professional and I could tell I was in the hands of someone who took their job seriously and would make sure I received the best care. Mr Daskalakis performed a vertical gastric sleeve for me. He was clear and honest, gave me time and the opportunity to ask questions and put any anxiety to rest. I asked for photos of my surgery and he supplied these without question. He visited me each day until I left (3 days) and each time, gave me great advice on how to maximise the sleeves potential. I like his honest approach and would have surgery with him again if needed.

Dr Daskalakis was absolutely incredible. He took his time explaining my procedure to me he listened to my concerns and always made time to answer my questions (and I had A LOT of questions) he checked in on me regularly after my surgery and made sure I was happy and comfortable and understood what was needed from me post surgery to ensure I got the best results. Couldn't recommend him enough.

Mr Daskalakis done my Hernia operation at Spire Parkway 7 weeks ago when I first met him he came over very friendly and caring he explained the procedure to me and made me feel relaxed as this was the first surgery I've ever had and he knew I was very anxious.I asked to see him a couple of weeks later as I had some concern he seen me in clinic and again put my mind at rest everything was fine,I have now been discharged from his care and wanted to say he is the nicest person I have ever met in the medical profession a real Gentleman and a real pleasure to have met him.

Such a wonderful man very talented in his field he discusses everything in depth with you and always gives you the opportunity to ask questions . He performed bariatric surgery on me and has totally changed my life and he is genuinely happy to see you happy. I couldn’t recommend Mr Daskalakis enough.
